Following four months while we have been closed for public worship, we are reopening all three of our churches for public worship in August.

These arrangements take account of new ways of living with Covid19 in our lives.
We will continue to observe hygiene and hand-washing requirements, and social distancing.

We can accommodate 60 worshippers in St Mary & St Helen’s Church, 40 worshippers in St Michael’s Church, and 25 worshippers in St Thomas’ Church.

We will change as we learn lessons about what is working for our congregations and as the requirements and advice of the Government and our Bishops change.

There will be Sunday services in all three churches during the month.

There will be services at 8.00, 9.30, and 10.45 on different Sundays.

Services from St Mary & St Helen’s Church will be streamed live.

There will be a midweek Holy Communion service in St Mary & St Helen’s Church on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30, before staying open for private prayer.

There will be no need to book a place in advance.

Private prayer in St Mary & St Helen’s Church will not be on Mondays and Fridays and will move to Wednesday afternoons at 2.00

We will not be ready to conduct funerals, baptisms or weddings in any of the churches

There will be no singing until we are advised it is safe to do so. Music (without singing) will be played at services instead.

There will be no refreshments served after services
