LETTER FROM THE CHURCHWARDENS June 2022
Pleasing comments are still being received regarding our visiting priests and how well the services are attended. We pray this will continue through the remainder of the interregnum. We were pleased to welcome our Archdeacon The Venerable Dr Michael Gilbertson to a special meeting of the PCC and Ministry Team on the 9th June to share the progress of the vacancy. From that meeting, you will hopefully have heard the update on the vacancy progress that was delivered at the four services on Sunday 19th June and read the follow up in P&A.
The second stage, the process of drawing up the Parish Profile has now been initiated; a small group will present a first draft in a couple of weeks. We will continue to keep you all informed of the vacancy progress throughout the process.
The importance of Safeguarding was at the fore of the PCC meeting on the 17th and after a brief presentation by Liz Ledsham our Safeguarding Officer, a small group was established to investigate who and what levels are required by parish officers and personnel.
The annual Ladies Club Day was welcomed back after a two year delay. Also, the moving Falklands 40th anniversary service took place in church, both services were led by Fr Mark Turner. Next month we look forward to the Village Fair, we pray for good weather and good attendance.
